while everyone's out collecting their red packets, fake-smiling at relatives they see once a year, and shielding themselves from all the usual stupid auntie questions, the mother and i went to the zoo =)
and who knew that a trip to the zoo can contribute to such a silly post cuz i can't sleep just as yet =D
did u know even the carparks were quite cool? each row was labelled a certain animal in alphabetical order. this is Anteater. we were parked at Lion hehe

the queue was so freaking long. it spanned from the ticket office all the way to the entrance of the carpark la! so we queued a bloody 20 mins, grabbed ben n jerry's at mother's expense (hehehe) and went in.
hello parrots. i think they're pretty awesomely smart.

the monkey with the white face which looked pretty cute:

mouse deer, i think:

crocodile. DUH:

whatever that were just mentioned above:

what a crude way to sit and face his crotch at the public:

try figuring out the backsides of a bunch of otters that coincidentally were parallel-lined:

WHITE TIGER! no idea if this was the one that tore that dude into pieces tho. but he looks like he got damn good life. we walked ard and an hour later, this dude was still sitting at the same spot:

the other bored tiger:

no they're not humping la. i just never knew how looong their necks could extend!:

stupid pymy hippo so bloody lazy:

i fed up. take picture of the plastic poster also chio-er:

omg WILD BOAR!
no i don't particularely love how they look.......... i just like to eat them!my 1st thought was "BBQ WILD BOAR YUM YUM". and then i felt quite bad cuz they look kinda cute. my mother says "if u feel so guilty then stop eating beef. " u see, i'm an ox baby. if i really felt guilty, i should start with beef rite? HAHA WATEVER. =D
a couple of boring kangaroos and emu (i think):

these monkeys amaze me. they sit in pairs, scratch and eat off each others backs. and the ones that are not scratching, they're sharing food. it's as if they really had some sort of intelligent way of communication. it's just too bad there's none btw these chimps and human. yet.

if u stare really hard, there's a black monkey below the hut. and his tail is white and super long, almost the same length as his body. coolness:

since no elephants for me to take picture, i take picture of plastic elephants:

seletar reservoir looking serene:

and then we saw plastic cow statues. hey it's my year this year, must pose and take picture rite =D

and then we hoped onto the boat that goes about the river:

alighted at the other boat dock and into kidz world. this white horse does not have my knight in shining armour:

and then there was a random house built with scary fake pple pretending to watch tv and use type writer. and i dunno wat's the connection with these huge ass giant house flies:

THIS IS FOR YOU GINA!
the white rats looks disgusting, but cute at the same time hehe:

AND OMG!
you see, i have this natural reflex. when i'm horrified/disgusted but not yet to the point of screaming, my defence mechanism is smile. but awkwardly. check out that huge ass fake cockcroach. ginaaaaaaaaaaaaa HAHAHAand then there were goats outside. which my mother insisted on taking many cuz she's born in year of goat and she wants to put them as her desktop wallpaper (and they stink real baaad):

a giant rat. GROSS CAN!

the jaguar was hidden inside, and this was his meal:

huge lizard. it mite have been the chameleon?

this was the cutest little thing, no idea what it's called. AND

this dude fed that little thing with bread from his MOUTH! omg it was sooooooo sweet

ugly turtle:

GILA MONSTER! SIAO AH!

this sad looking monitor lizard which no one was paying attention to:

and these 2 horned lizards which were shedding!

look closer it's seriously shedding!

(tilt your head left i forgot to rotate it) this is the smallest bear in asia. and it looks bored and sad:

orang utan licking sth from the ground. it looks sad too:

the polar bear that was so bored it kept walking in circles cuz there was no where else it could go!

this was interesting. it's a CAMELID. dunno mix between what and what.

lesson learnt today: the animals seemed pretty unhappy. their habitats are so small and they must be really bored. i can't imagine being confined to my home for the rest of my life with just 1 or 2 other people. no matter how well fed i am.
these animals have my sympathies.
