pretty awesome sights eh! =)

the food really wasn't that fab. the waiter came over and asked how the food was and we were like "oh it's good!" smile smile. and when he walked away
i said "yeah rite!"
raz said "he's still behind!"
i said "shit."
but sitting by the window looking across the city was nice!

after lunch we stopped wasting time (altho we already did haha)walked over to the visitor centre to get our pass and check out the city. which we didn't do much of cuz we were extremely tired and cold and it started raining couple of hours later.

went for some nonsense 3D experience where we seriously fell asleep. good thing bout it: we got our power nap!

raz was just taking a pic for me when they walked by, stopped and leaned on me. HAHA!

we took a leak at edinburgh dungeon (went there the next day) and i seriously don't know how i came to decide on this outfit???(anyway the yellow top went into the washing machine after the 1st time i wore it, came out grey. i am extremely upset.)

spooky looking toilet! oooooooooo

this blog is getting a little boring / picture overload huh?
story of the heart:
first when we saw it we were like "omg so cute!" click click click. we thought it was just joke to make a heart shape in the middle of the street.
the next day we went for the Auld Reekie (nickname for edinburgh) tour of ghosts and ghouls. turns out the heart represented the only legal place where pple could spit on in edinburgh!
history has it that all the scums and criminals of edinburgh used to be imprisoned just below the streets, and the position of the the heart is where passer-bys could look into the prisoners and spit on them.
so there u go!

isn't this such a cute design!as i type this, i'm wearing the shirt printed with such a cute ass!

this one had a queue.
sg culture: queue == good? =)
raz and i looking utterly annoyed that the guy next to our table had extremely smelly feet!
i mean SERIOUSLY STINKINGLY SMELLY.

thank goodness he left b4 the food arrived!awesome food! raz's platter was better than my fish&chips. sulks. HEE

we actually booked to go for group tour walk in the night after dinner, didn't have to pay cuz it was part of our day pass.(the sun sets at 11pm in edinburgh! omg omg omg i am amused.)
but it started bloody raining. we had no umbrellas. it was getting colder. and raz's ankle was hurting. so instead of catching pneumonia and then limping our way back, we left earlier to rest.
next day we were gonna meet loch ness monster =D

still can't believe how pretty the clock tower looks from my bed lor =D
decided we were not "bus" pple. actually, possibly anyone who travels with me aren't bus pple *winks at gina*

as i was admiring and taking pics of watever came in the way, raz said "omg look at those mushrooms!"and for the next minute i was convinced the white fur were all gigantic white mushrooms.
then she stared at me "u really tot they're mushrooms???!!!"
and that's the joke of the trip.
ARGH. issit my fault i trust my friends HUH HUH HUH -_-
first toilet stop. somewhere i can't rmb the name =D

big men queueing for short bread and pastries???must be some awesome food.
so we queued.
and bought a lot of food. (read shortbreads, quiche, cinnamon roll, bread, brownies, drinks.)
couldn't finish.
haha.

next stop: The 3 Sisters!(at least that's what i tink they're called =D )
Sister 1
Sister 2

result of sufficient rest and utter restlessness:

and then we finally reach the loch ness river la!

we thought we had the best seats at the end of the boat, thinking it was the front.
didn't matter cuz everyone was walking ard so cool =)

simply Anna =)

loch ness monster spotted!i swear we almost got eaten!
i got a video of the few moments b4 death. yeah scary i know!
after the awesome near-death expreience, we headed back of course.
last pit stop: fish and chips!and some black pudding which i thought was pudding but i ws wrong!
it was just a black mix of pig's organs/parts and deep fried.
which we brought all the way back to hotel room and threw it away cuz i tot a sore throat was coming up.
oh well!

we headed back and joined the Auld Reekie tours of ghosts and ghouls.didn't expect that we paid to climb and climb! we bitched a little and started sweating in the cold hahaha
another interesting story!this place below where we stood is where so many years ago (not sure which world war or how long ago) when there was curfews and really strict rules about pple being out on the streets during war times.
everyone stayed home. there was no water in the house.
only at a specific time the pple were allowed to leave their home to collect water. and the youngest person in the family had to be the one. they couldn't carry the water up, cuz they had to tie the buckets to a string and the family had to pull it up. and they'd get punished if the water spilled!

above: pipes used for soldiers to climb up to look out for the enemies.

so after walking around the nice and pleasant places, we were brought to the vaults.and we took a long leisurely walk back to the hotel =)

we ordered room service, had our hot chocos and sandwich and crashed. another awesome part of the trip (i use 'awesome' alot??)
it was cold and windy. =)

the bridge that linked the local library to the local university

the world's end: where pple came here to die, back in the days.it used to be when pple could get into edinburgh, but they couldn't get out (due to some stupid gahmen rules la) so they came here to die. (i tink this was prob the border of edinburgh that's why)
now it's just a pub. but i'm doubting the credibility of the story, cuz i saw another "the world's end" bar somewhere else i tink in london.
haha
i think this was the parliament house maybe? sth related to gahmen too.

some historical heroic/king/prince fella who's actually very short. but they made a tall statue for him.
edinburgh has nice clouds =)later we said hi to the bag pipe dude across the street from the hotel.

(her outfit below the jumper really rocks cuz i chose it hehe)

later we went to the edinburgh dungeon. another nonsense CMI trying-to scare-but-failing-terribly ghost walk. haha!

got some potato spuds for lunch.
look at the size! really puts singapore's spuds to shame. even the filling is spilling over!

after that, we continued shopping and bought a SHIT LOAD OF SHORTBREAD AND SOUVENIRS. and then ended up at Argos getting ourselves another huge bag to carry all of our barangs along.

we finally left edinburgh lugging 3 bags between the 2 of us.
kinda embarrassing dragging it here and there and tugging them up and down the train. hehe.
but watever la the Dean's shortbread are awesomely nice! i tink i almost finished them when i got home. =D

and i make no apologies for posting too many photos and too little words =)
