The one where Boonie and Anna goes to BangKok
Warning: pics overload. the last count was 105 pics *gasps*
1st Day!
Zuji.com got us a really good deal. flight on cathay pacific with 5days 4 nites accomodation, at less than 1K for two pple =)
for this price, there was even haagen daz ice cream on board!
first time i actually finish all my plane food, minus the papayas =)

i really suck at making a frowning face. and he was suppose to be asleep. so sneaky. tsk tsk touched down and almost every other connecting passages to the planes had 'long live the king' or the typical picture of the king. apparently he was the longest serving king to thailand, so he was very much worshipped/respected.

our hotel was no biggie. 3 stars, 8 storeys, no pool. not that we'll have any time/energy to swim anyways. the corridors were nothing to wow about. but the room was pretty decent. clean and neat and spacious for all our junk.
BUT we found out the next morning that breakfast was not included.
note: THANK YOU GINA GAN! for helping me check my email for the breakfast deal. and sending in my appeal to le sucky EEE office.
we stumbled on this dirt cheap internet cafe, for a few cents we could use the net for 15 mins. and i checked my email, only to realise i sent in all my documents for the appeal, all EXCEPT the appeal form itself! -_- thank goodness gina was online haha =)
spelling mistakes are un-forgivable in anna's world!

we settled and asked the concierge for directions to the nearest train station. yes yes i know cabbing is dirt cheap in bkk. but we walked ard to explore our area.
my first reaction => omg there's so many freaking 7-11 !! in that short walk to the station, the number of 7-11s' were more than a hand can count.
we were near the victory monument. boonie checked out the place on the map so that we can tell the cabbies our location. half of them had no idea where our hotel was. -_-

sadly the first drink and first food of the trip was not impressive.
the dunkin donut was cold and the green powder left an unsightly green stain on my teeth. i couldn't smile for a while.
and the tipco drink from 7-11 was weird. reaaaally 100% cuz there was bits of the fruits in it.
took the train down to where siam square and all the siam-malls were.
the toilet was so funky la!even wall grafiti was artsy =)

boonie and annie got sick of the usual mall shopping and left in less than an hour.
cabbed down to suan lum night bazaar to check out wat the fuss was about =)
we had our less-than-impressive dinner there. well at least mine was not good =(too spicy and i managed to survive thru only half the bowl of spicy egg noodles. filled my stomach with a whole cup of mango shake instead.
suan lum really had the nicest stuff compared to the rest of the markets. didn't buy much on the first day, 'cept 2 singlets 2 t shirts 2 earrings. all not for me 'cept 1 earring. hehe.
the plan was to go back on the last nite if i couldn't get anything else from the cheaper markets. suan lum quite hard to bargain la. some stuff i like were one offs so bargain was really quite useless.
we had our first foot massage!actually we went in cuz there was no one attending to the shop where i wanted to get a dress from.
and next to it was massage parlour so why not :D
45 mins later and still no one came back to attend to the shop!
i swear i was soooooooo tempted to jus take the dress and go. NO ONE WOULD KNOW RITE!
and maybe grab all the other pretty things in the shop. HEHEHE
okies so we're not fated to get that dress. whatever la. his loss anyways.
cabbed back hotel and kabom zzzzzz
dug my nose and it was black.
bkk air serious quite polluted and dusty.
ewwww
