weekends seem to start on thursdays =)

and breaking our beef tradition, we checked out Magma Wine Bistro which was good. the riesling was nice. brought home some left over, and i mite have converted my dad from red wine to liking rieslings.
the new majestic hotel looked quite chic huh :)

we forgot to take a picture of boonie's ala carte pork knuckles. so replace with a real live pork knuckle in the flesh, complete with silver ring. hehe
open concept kitchen. nice! but this means u could see how slowwwww the chef was. and there was only ONE german chef. and can see pork knuckles in the see-through roasting oven. damn cool!hello chubby face!
the story of the cork:the boss opened the wine for us and showed us the glass cork. so we casually asked bout it and got a whole long story. apparently normal corks are bout 10-20 cents to produce. glass corks costs maybe $1.40 - $1.50. so yada yada, that's why glass corks aren't that common, but not everyone believes it's better blah blah blah.
the boss was a cute old german guy. very strong accent and damn cute hair i.e. he looks like Albert Einstein!
good food good company. so happyyyyyy
thursday night i was home sweet home. such bliss. which of course led to oversleeping on friday. tsk tsk.
after FYP meeting in NUS, it was friday dinner date with the girlfriend who's too busy with her superwoman career.
one fine day i will i will i will have a birthday party on the ferris wheel thing =)
the girlfriend was kinda late. and i couldn't walk around cuz friday nite == must get seats early else we'll have to queue when we hit peak dinner time. so i just sat there and waited. and waited. and took random photos cuz i was bored.
and i left half of my sashimi salad for the girlfriend in case she was hungry when she arrived. but i was soo bored i unconsciously finished it -_-

hehe yes i was that bored! and she turned up and seriously surprised me!
i told her she didn't have to! but she insisted!

then we checked out Loof since we were tired and looking for somewhere to sit and talk and waste time. and i was shocked at the crowd. so many bloody pple where the hell they come from??? girlfriend said she felt like friday nights are when some unknown force suddenly release all the expats.***
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOONIE!
started our day ( more like afternoon) at 2p.m. for lunch with zhili and juliet. boonie mahjonged the night before and i watched too much tv, so couldn't get up on saturday morning. :D

it wasn't even my bday, but boonie offered to pay for the pink champagnes. NICE plus there were complimentary Moet cushion and Moet pink bedroom slippers!HEHE i'm such a sucker for useless things laaaaaaa
after dinner, anna did some damage to her pocket. 1 dress 2 tops.

we zoomed zoomed down to marina square before molecule living closed. and guess what we got for boonie's ultimate bday pressie =)

hehe we got a FATBOY! now fatboy and smellygirl got something to nua on at home =)
my partner in crime so patiently waited outside novo when sth in the shop caught my eye. then we headed for carls' junior for dinner =)

that's my wonderfuuuuul weekend. and i slept toooo much on sunday. the after effects are so not good. 'the more u sleep, the more lethargic u get.' yeah that sucks. i've too much sleep, and still falling asleep everywhere possible. i tink sunday evening i K.O after getting in the car for like what, 5 mins?
hehe and i learnt over the weekend that a 4 people strategy class project work around a square table that requires much risk planning and calculations, is called Mahjong. =D
mondays are coincidentally bohemian skirts day! i was shocked when i met gina and she was also wearing boho skirt! HAHA
so the last fact of the day i learnt from Friends just before i fell asleep watching: women are shorter than men so that the guys can smell the top of the head of the ladies. sweet!
now must go study study study!
