Monday was french food day, but unexpectedly Au Petit Salut was fully booked for a Monday's lunch ( i just saw a review that said it was roaring with business hehe) so we got directed to it's bistro instead, Bistro Petit Salut @ chip bee. No ratatouille but the food was awesome nonetheless =)

while waiting for shikai, we had our coffee and tea with bread.

how amazingly gina and i picked the same appetizer and entree HAH baby scallops salad and minute beef fillets with mashed potatoes. looked small but they were filling and oh so yummy!

and dear shikai had escargots and the catch of the day white pomfret =)

gina had these choux buns with vanilla ice cream. sk's and my pick was creme brulee not too bad =)

we walked to holland V to get some jap buns and marmalade pantry cupcakes and bid shikai farewell. then trotted back to chip bee to check out the few shops until my coupons run out...

there was a damn chi chi kitchen utensils shop that had the most interesting designs of kitchen tools. was so amazed at this jelly shaper in the shape of a castle! the roses were so pretty too. told gina i'll start cooking if i ever buy my utensils from there =)

and a couple of take away food shops (we thought chip bee was gonna be taken over by Da Paolo seriously) and this place had really cute cupcakes and nice looking bread. the pizza was damn tempting with all the salmon and a huge slice was only 7 bucks which was pretty decent. and we're gonna get out pasta and pasta sauces from there after exams and cook at my place! with their homemade tiramisu for desserts. can't hardly wait hehe :)

the highlight of tuesday was boon tong kee chickie rice with boonie at bukit timah. the rice surprised me it came in the shape of a pyramid! and saw jianming and a very preggers irene who were da bao-ing from there and we said our hi and byes.

the mother came back from japan yesterday and got some nice stuff. and passed me horse oil which was supposed to work like magic for every possible thing that needs curing. after a couple of days of mild stiff neck, i mite as well give it a try and rubbed some on b4 going to bed and voila! this morning it felt much better =) OR it could be cuz of my 9 hrs of sleep...

who cares! now must study study study!

and the first song i heard on radio when brushing teeth:

It's undeniable how brilliant you are
In an unreliable world you shine like a star
It's unforgettable now that we've come this far
It's unmistakable that you're undeniable
