another week has come and gone and it didn't even feel that long =)
so one more week and i'll be at changi airport (i tink, or yck) and maybe that's where bliss descends. hee
i seemed to have past the week not too excitingly but also not much time to sleep, sadly =(
monday was the last day of Astro Challenge 2007, and i must say finance wise we were successful this year (i know my phrasing not good. sth wrong with my england these days dunno why.) we actually made a profit and didn't have to fork out any of our own money, unlike last year. HEHE. cabbed home from work which was a blessing since that was the only day it was raining in all my weeks of work. and drove down to The Central for some mini cakes from Gobi which only the intelligent pple appreciated.
headed for Spizza Holland V. for the usual main-comm-dinner-after-AC. i was so afraid the price was too steep or if they didn't like the food cuz i suggested it when LJ called. but honestly it still puzzles me how the NUS guys couldn't suggest anywhere decent (other than coffee shop) considering Holland V. was suppose to be the NUS hangout? and no one suggested Essential Brews? but i don't like EB so hush hush k =)
and we were so lucky we were sitting randomly and opposite SQ who went for an exchange in magnificent HONG KONG! hehe. we had our little corner of conversation cuz it was so segregated. me, gina, SQ, LJ, and TS. i dun care bout JY hmph. SQ gave some helpful tips, which reminds me i should be adding him on MSN so he can give me the addresses or numbers of nice places he ate =) and LJ, being LJ, proceeds to teach gina the Malaysian accent. we were suppose to pose as Malaysians and get better bargains cuz apparently pple have this impression that Sgporeans got money to spend. NOT TRUE! and got home close to 12, again. AC is always closely linked to 12 midnight. not enuf sleep =(
tuesday was the plan to head home, shower and crash. but being in a pretty good mood, decided to join mum and dad for dinner. i wanted sushi + sashimi but it wasn't my dad's cup of tea, so we had Ding Tai Feng and as usual stuffed myself with Xiao Long Bao until i almost burst. mental note to self: going out with mum and dad means going to every other place to pick up small stuff that wastes too much time. ended up showering at 10p.m (hello i ended work at 5??? argh) and went to bed late as usual. had to plan time table and email out. ended up in bed at 2a.m, unwillingly late =( not enuf sleep, again.
wednesday was spontaneous day. sms Raz in the morning and apparently she was just gonna ask me to hang with her mich and shannah and waste time away in town. and i tot she was limping. argh. first thing i asked her was why didn't she bring her crutches out so we could cut queue. michelle said i was such a bitch and she loved me and was happy seeing me. last we met was like 2 years ago at shannah's hari raya party??? that mich bitch better meet up with me more often or i'll slap her silly ass upside down and burst her boobs man. and they totally turned my day around and made me so uber happy! we talked and joked and bitched and insulted and made great plans for our europe trip driving around in our caravan and having so much fun. we love each other so much we're almost a threesome, just not officially yet. u see, raz and i are married, but raz is having an affair with mich, but raz can't stand that i hold mich's hands more than hers.
we're gonna have a mini party for all the people who have been our friends for the past glorious TEN FREAKING YEARS. can't wait la! and then proceeded home to edit and mail SAO to purchase our club's scope and equipments, cuz GST hike 1st july. not enuf sleep, again. but berry happy i went to bed with a smile =) they're the most un-pretentious pple who never try to be anyone else but themselves. it's always such a comfort to be with them and not worry bout saying the wrong things or doing stupid things. they tell me when i'm being a bitch, and i tell them when they're being annoying and we all love all english teen dramas! now i just have to start on the L Word.
thursday was OOSH day but such a disappointment!
i almost OT on thursday man, but i guess MJ and GW also wanted to chop chop leave, so managed to leave on time! gina was our driver for the night =) hung ard town for so long until my feet felt like they were gonna give way, plus i walk super duper a lot at work. nothing caught my fancy 'cept a pair of red tights from the Mango sale which are a bit big for me. well everything i like isn't cheap so sad. got to Oosh Yen Dining and it was sad man. the food was overpriced, and the quality was below average. plus the manager was superficial and made me feel like sticking my feet out and tripping him. with the small amount of lousy expensive food we ordered, we left the place in less than an hour. and i suggested Sushi Tei cuz i have had sashimi craving since forever. we paid half the price at Sushi Tei and we were dead full. shikai babe got us cupcakes from some Marmalade place at Palai Renessiance (dunno how to spell la) and they were like DAMN GOOD CAN! with silver balls in the shape of an A for me, and G for gina. let's go eat there! yummy =) and gina was feeling generous and got a pack of famous amos no nuts cookies for each of us! my life saver cuz i was starving after work today!
and today is jus another random boring day but i'm so glad it's FRIDAY!!! had work to do at the lab and walked a lot around the plant, as usual, getting some tools from here, cutter from there, everywhere.
and in a short span of one day, two guys decided to joke bout my hand moisturise habit. WALAU EH! i am vain and i don't care! i'm gonna try (based on my laziness) to paint electric blue nails over the weekend. happy colors for happy days =) basically every time i lose grip of sth they say sth like "too much moisturiser huh." and i'm like "walau eh no la!"
i was surprisingly invited to mahjong with the lab pple even though i'm not the most socialable person ard. but it's only cuz they short of one kaki la. imagine me mahjong-ing with GW, TK (read: my SUPERVISOR) and kelly (i don't know her per se). it's their pay day, not mine, i where got money to play man. and imagine if i was winning all of TK's money, he mite feel buai song and fail my IO!
but anyways the brother was coming home today from 2 weeks in tekong. mum and dad came home especially early for him. and that senile dad of mine even made up a cheer for bro's welcoming, and even wanted to buy poms poms and stupid cheer leader costumes. -_- i decided to invite him home with a flowery summer dress and red tights (just cuz i was trying out my clothes, not exactly for him.) i stayed home cuz dad said we were dinnering together right, turns out my bro said we'll dinner tmr nite instead. made me think if maybe i should have went mahjong, like to see wat pple are like outside of work. but i'd better not be boring them first man. i dun seem to click with pple there. i tink it's cuz there's no other attachees other than gina and myself, and they basically tink and behave on a different frequency and mode of communications i.e. mandarin.
hopefully i muster enuf determination to get up early for carrot cake with the mum and dad.
