GOOD CHARLOTTE'S JOEL MADDEN IS SO CUTE HE SHOULD STAY WITH HILARY DUFF WHO'S SO PRETTY.
saturday was SMU's waikiki sports event at tanjung beach. boon took part in the pushball game, EACH person in the winning team gets 135bucks of new urban male vouchers. new urban male macham very rich lei. the pushball prize is not the only ones they're sponsoring. anyway, i went down to check it out and bring twinkle out since it's been a super long time since we brought twinkle out anyway.
i sprayed sunblock EVERYWHERE EXCEPT MY NECK -_- now i have a ring of red round my neck!
so when normal people wear tube like this

i'll be looking like this

and when normal people look like this when they wear a v-neck

i'll be looking like this

(but i hardly wear v-necks anyway :) )
and when normal people wearing scoop neck look like this
i'll be looking like this
WALAU EH! need to wear turtle neck and hide it until it goes away. and i did!
met arjun on saturday night. boon and kk couldn't join us though, so we stopped asking people cuz it was too troublesome. haha.
clark quay is a great place. but Marrakesh serves cocktails that tastes like juice -_- i'm serious! there seems to be no difference ordering a cocktail or juice. my Marrakesh Special tasted like banana-pineapple juice. haha. but the food is good, not cheap though.
then we walked over to cafe iguana for more drinks, but sadly it was not happy hour until midnite =( and my horny toad drink was not as nice as i remember it the last time tho... a bunch of drunk loud and rowdy ang mohs spilt some drinks on the floor, and a little got on my leg. i was wiping off and cursing that they should get drunk and die. the guy at the next table more drama: he stood up and walked off, leaving his friends at the table while he wass sulking at one corner. haha
before we got a seat, this tourist from America approached us and started making conversation, partly cuz he's drunk, and also i believe he was just being friendly. he was just telling us how he loves singapore and the drinks were reasonable, not too expensive. he bought 2 jugs for 90+ bucks. IT IS EXPENSIVE DARLING. i'd rather drink water and get drunk anyway.
anyway i was just telling arjun i have thoughts of migrating, maybe to america cuz i loved it when i was there. but the only huge major problem is just the way we converse. i have no idea how i'm gonna socialize there cuz there's a different way we converse compared to pple there. plus i tend to turn to slurring mode when i speak to ang moh (i tink). cuz ang mohs always don't seem to understand what i'm saying! and pple who know me and boon will know that i speak slower, boon speaks faster, but all ang mohs understand boon but not me! i don't tink i can adapt, but arjun says i can cuz there will be a point when u have to adapt if u're constantly surrounded by people whom u have to adapt to. but oh wells, leave it to when i really migrate, which might be never anyway :) it's just a thought. i can dream once in a while right :)
Sunday was spent sleeping till noon, maybe 3, or was it 4.... haha. i woke up, took a bit of breakfast, showered, and was already late for dinner! haha. the extended family on mum's side went for dinner at Da ShangHai, means big shanghai, next to Grand Water Copthorne, the hotel where the babes booked a room for my post bday celebrations :) the road there reminded me of the time my mum and I drove the long way from her office to robertson walk for lunch. HEHE.
the place was high class grand, in a casual way. =) the decos were all so pretty! red chairs, red tables, red couches and sofas. high ceilings with chinese looking lamps that were simple with not much details. tables on platforms at different corners of the place, and a stage at the front of the restaurant. professional singers, local and invited from shanghai, sang classic chinese songs as well as song requests. everyone sang along and giggled when the lady singer sang the classic version of "lao shu ai da mi". listening to the song just made me feel like killing the songwriter for such a stupid song.
50cents is my lucky bet for black jack. i never lose when i bet 50cents. but i always lose when i bet a dollar -_- i secretly want blackjack gambling rounds once a week with the cousins, to earn some extra money for maybe some clothes or new shoes =D
Monday morning the brother and i, having stayed over at grandma's place, got up early, comparatively, to go home cuz had sentosa appointment in the noon.
WE GOT LOCKED IN GRANDMA'S HOUSE.
cuz everyone went down to loyang temple early in the morning, but my ah gong stayed home. so bro and i got up, packed, took some breakfast to bring home, and the next thing we know the door is LOCKED. and my ah gong was NOT HOME. cuz ah gong always walk around neighbourhood and meet frans up. he's bored staying at home. there were no spare keys in the house. so bro and i were LOCKED IN -_- so we finished a plate of 10 ang ku kuehs and watched cable. so my aunties and uncles and mum rushed home from the temple to set us free.
met up with GINA & SHIKAI for SENTOSA! i tink i'm cursed la. it was pouring when we reach. half of the times i go sentosa it never fails to pour -_- cafe del mar is another place with bad drinks. cocktails were either too diluted, or my martini was too little. they served my choco mint martini up to half the glass. the 5-star martini at Morton's Bar serve up to the brim even during happy hour. LET'S GO MORTON'S BABES! i want chocolate martini for the longest time...
and we went for GALA PREMIERE FOR "I'M A CYBORG, BUT THAT'S OK.." featuring Rain, movie got nominations at berlin film fest or sth. the seats were horrid the 2nd row from the front! the movie was not bad, but the seat made it not as good =( we couldn't read the subtitles and watch the full screen at the same time cuz we were too near. bleh. haha but it was an experience la. hehe
this blog entry is boring and wordy. pics must be included to spice it up! soon la soon :D
