Once upon a time, it was a day before Anna's birthday. She wasn't in Singapore with her good ol girly girls. She was in Los Angeles in the United States, and decided to have some fun the day before her birthday (which was a school day), and it was 3 days before the final exam paper.

So as Anna and her friends were waiting for Baby Boon to come pick them up with the rented car, he arrived with this bunch of flowers:

Anna has never seen such beautiful flowers so well matched, colorful and still look pretty!

and to her surprise and shock, Baby Boon did not arrive in just any normal car. He arrived in this:

a Chrysler Convertible!

Imagine the shock and surprise and excitement and joy and every other indescribable feelings that Anna was going through. It was like the most pleasant surprise ever!

So then Anna and Baby Boon and all their friends headed down to the largest mall in LA (forgot the name) and totally whacked Victoria's Secrets! it was pretty shiok, Anna got: a gorgeous velvet jacket, a really good bra, two pairs of uber comfy undies, two glittery eyeliners, a really glossy lip gloss, and the nicest smelling body moisturiser. don't bother guessing the damage done. there was a bloody 30% discount off everything! cuz we got a special offer =)

after the Victoria's Secrets madness, we all headed down to Hollywood!

and i'm so glad we did not miss this spectacular place. (cuz altho we travelled a lot, we sadly did not visit all touristy places within LA). Welcome to Hollywood, home to many celebs.

This little thing on the floor of the shopping centre where the car was parked. There's basically this red carpet that starts from the shopping centre, leading up to this "The Road to Hollywood" sign on the floor. and this is where we got our pic taken below:

The famous Mann's Chinese Theater. The main tourist attraction along Hollywood, where famous celebs have left their foot and hand prints on the front of this theater.

well after walking along Hollywood and totally enjoying it, Anna and Baby Boon headed down to Santa Monica, where they planned to reach by lunch time but was inevitably delayed. and lunch/dinner was served at 4-ish to 5... starving!

And the pig out was executed at Bubba Gump! this restaurant inspired by the movie Forest Gump. Bubba was Forests' best friend.


How cool is this! When the customer needs a waitress, he flips this sign board to "stop forest stop". the waitress will attend to you when she sees this. there is absolutely no need to make a fool of yourself by raising your hand macham primary school when we wanna answer questions in class, or totally embarass yourself when your 5 mins of silly waving is not working. then flip over to the blue side that says "run forest fun" when you don't need any service. DAMN COOL LA!

This is Anna and Baby Boon really happy that the food is coming soon!


This is Baby Boon with his Margarita on the left in a special Bubba Gump cocktail shaker, a glass of water on the other side, and his prawn pasta. The plate was swimming with really fresh prawns and yummy pasta.


This is Anna with her (i can't rmb wat) soup, but it was definitely good. and a cup of milk shake, and (i can't rmb wat) fish but it was fantabulous as well, cuz Anna finished the whole piece of fish.

And then of course, silly Anna forgot to charge the camera battery, and forgot to bring the spare one out! so the camera died after this session of photo taking...

anyway! after dinner/lunch, it was off to the beach! Santa Monica beach was bustling, but not squeezy. the sun was glaring, but it was so windy i tink i was so tempted to put on my jacket! bloody white birds were everywhere, picking on the food and drinks when the humans were in the water. and of course, after much persuasion, Baby Boon managed to get Anna into the water. even though it was almost freezing cold, Anna never regreted getting into the water and having some fun. haha

just as the sun was setting, Baby Boon and Anna got changed out of the wet clothes and had some fun at the Pacific Park, the free admissions amusement park at Santa Monica Pier. the view from the solar-powered ferris wheel was AMAZING. then a couple of rides here and there, it was a great end to the perfect bday outing. except, it took a while to find the way to the highway. but once we hit the highway, car roof down, it was AWESOME. i don't know when i'll ever be in a topless convertible with my hands up in the air, going 90 on the freeway.

and so, all good things must come to an end.

Anna drove the car for like two streets within the neighbourhood and chickened out. eh excuse me, everyone parks their cars along the streets, and it was so freaky having to gauge how far to drive away from the parked cars and not go onto the other lane. Anna looks not very nice without make up. lucky camera never pick up the ugly Anna.
